Grafton Historical Society @ Fall into Grafton

This past Saturday the Grafton Historical Society had a booth at Pumpkin Fest, as part of “Fall into Grafton”. This was a free family event held at Paramount Plaza in Downtown Grafton.

Our display included items from the “The Big Dig” (pottery, bottles, Model T headlamp) as well as photos from a member’s unique collection. These photos were developed from a set of glass-plate negatives that were discovered in the attic of his family’s house. The pictures depict life on the farm and transportation in Grafton during the early 1900’s.

We enjoyed sharing information about the Grafton Historical Society with the people of Grafton.  We shared stories of Grafton’s past with long time residents. We helped educate newer residents about Grafton’s history. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and thank you to Celebrate Grafton for allowing us to be part of this fun family event.
